TALKS

19:00 • 20:00 Seven top tips for terrific teachers
I’m a Primary teacher: how can I keep my classes dynamic and my students interested? In this session we’ll look at seven top tips every Primary school teacher should bear in mind in order to keep their students on their toes, make certain that learning is taking place and ensure that lots of fun is had into the bargain too! From the best ways to present language to bringing reading to life to motivating students to write, the activities presented in this session will add sparkle to your Primary classroom.

18:00 • 19:00 Three keys to classroom management with teens
Classroom management in three easy steps: a work of fiction?! We want our teens engaged and on task at all times: this way our lessons will be productive and they’ll learn English more effectively. What can we do as teachers to get them on board? In this session I will suggest that a teacher should be three things: the boss, human and fun. I will be explicit on exactly what I mean by these three traits and provide practical steps and strategies designed to create a positive learning environment in the classroom.

Brian Engquist

TALKS

18:00 • 19:00 Let’s work together: co-operative learning in the Primary classroom
We see lots of trends in education and ELT, but one that is defi nitely here to stay is cooperative learning. What is it, why does it make sense and how can we integrate it into the Primary classroom? From speaking to listening, brainstorming to singing songs, using apps in class to giving a co-operative flavour to common classroom activities, this session will provide a wealth of practical ideas and tips on how to get your learners working together.

19:00 • 20:00 Selectividad and beyond at Bachillerato
Selectividad preparation is a serious business for students because high marks are often the key to their university and course of choice. In this session we’ll offer upper-secondary teachers useful tips and original ideas to prepare for the selectividad English exam, but we’ll also look beyond it too: at the language skills that our students really need and how to develop them.

As places are limited, please confirm your attendance before the 31st of March. Please feel free to share this invitation with your colleagues.
